What is unique about this stop smoking help?
A stop smoking programme from Awaken the Change is different to many other self-hypnosis stop smoking sessions. It’s developed by Linda, a research and evidenced based master hypnotherapist, who has additional knowledge and skills as a retired nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) in helping people to quit.
Linda uses a Transtheoretical approach. This means that the programme focuses on checking and helping you to develop the motivation to change and stay a non-smoker. Plus, you learn to use the power of your mind with hypnosis and CBT to help you succeed.
Once it’s recognised what stage of change you are at, Linda uses psychoeducation and CBT to give you ways to understand why you smoke and reframe your mind to think positively about quitting. Then she uses her expert experience and knowledge as a teacher of different hypnosis techniques to develop the right hypnosis for you. The aim is to remove barriers and reinforce what you want through positive suggestion. So, combining treatment such as hypnosis and CBT, provides you with added benefits.
This bespoke programme involves a free initial consultation (either live or by phone) and two sessions.
Of course, you need to really want to quit smoking and be hypnotised. It should be your choice to quit so don’t be pushed into stopping unless you are prepared to quit for good.

After 20 minutes your pulse rate returns to normal
After 8 hours nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in blood reduce by more than half and oxygen levels return to normal.
After 48 hours carbon monoxide will be eliminated from the body. Lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris.
After 48 hours there is no nicotine in the body. Ability to taste and smell is improved.
After 72 hours breathing becomes easier. Bronchial tubes begin to relax, and energy levels increase.
After 2-12 weeks your circulation improves.
After 3-9 months coughs, wheezing, and breathing problems improve as lung function increases by up to 10%.
After 1 year the risk of heart disease is about half compared with a person who is still smoking.
After 10 years the risk of lung cancer falls to half of a smoker.
After 15 years the risk of heart attack falls to the same as someone who has never smoked.

If you live in or around the Bournemouth area, you may prefer to visit my practice for your hypnotherapy sessions.
I provide a safe, relaxing and calm environment where we can start to overcome your anxiety. The practice is easy to find, and plenty of free parking is available, as well as being on local bus routes.
However, your first free consultation will always be online, and many of my clients find this works better for them.
Online hypnotherapy is worth considering, especially if you find it hard to travel or live outside the Bournemouth area.
I have been trained in providing online hypnotherapy and have clients from around the world. Providing you have access to a private internet connection and webcam; there is no reason why this wouldn't work for you.
